![]() ![]() to its lowest setting, and tried all the velocity curves, and this problem persists. To my original problem, I'm still getting too many 127 velocity hits, even when I'm trying to restrain myself. The Maschine+ will replace my present hardware sequencer, and used to record the MC-707 and other MIDI instruments. To my knowledge, the MC-707 has many of the sounds included in the JV and XV series. I love my old JV-1080, and it is still used often in my studio. SO, now that I've figured that out, I'm much more likely to run the Maschine VST and actually load up sounds via Maschine, use other features (chords/arps, whatever) that aren't available in midi mode. The MC-707 will mainly be used as a sound module. I watched all of them at least a couple times before I figured out this problem. I've found at least a half dozen popular videos that talk about this integration, but they're all trying to do slightly different things. Midi to/from Maschine is weird, and NI's documentation is not very detailed or clear. Recently i bought Maschine MK 3 and trying to explore this hardware. Watching this video carefully at about 1:30 clued me in on this: As from past i have been using NI product and software. TS has an 88 key keyboard and wants something more to complement that. Im running a Maschine mk3 with ableton 10 on a macbook and Im finding it surprisingly difficult to set it up so that I can start/stop via the 'play' button on the Maschine controller. I don't really understand why this is, but I'm glad I was able to make it work. For you maybe, if you are sitting with just an MK3 and a computer and you have the Maschine right in front of you as your only instrument. Using 'All Ins', or either of the other Maschine midi ins I have configured ABOVE THE DIVIDING LINE didn't work. The trick that worked was selecting Maschine 2 BELOW THE DIVIDING LINE in the dropdown as the input in MIDI From in the channel strip for my Ableton drum rack, and Maschine 2 in the second drop down below that (for audio, thats the physical input, but not sure what it indicates for a midi track). The trick that worked was selecting 'Maschine 2' BELOW THE DIVIDING LINE in the dropdown as the input in MIDI From in the channel strip for my Ableton drum rack, and Maschine 2 in the second drop down below that (for audio, that's the physical input, but not sure what it indicates for a midi track). Not the topic of the original post, but I was annoyed enough to spend an hour or so working on this problem today, and figured out how to get midi out of Maschine VST plugin. ![]()
